Inside the PPLL Mosaic Series: Posters, Stickers and an Alphabet
Share
The PPLL Mosaic system began as a way of building dense geometric surfaces from repeated blocks, colour changes and small internal divisions. It now moves through wall art, individual alphabet stickers and a complete printable A to Z colouring book.
The point is not to make every object identical. The point is to keep enough of the visual grammar intact that a poster, a letter and a colouring page can still feel related.
Mosaic wall art
The poster side of the series explores what happens when the same general grid language is pushed through very different palettes. Muted Mosaic holds the colour down and lets the structure carry more of the image. Neon Mosaic does the opposite, using high-contrast colour to make the grid feel louder and faster.
Other Mosaic posters move through rainbow, pastel blue, orange and cool purple palettes. The common element is the tiled structure rather than one fixed colour scheme.
The Mosaic Alphabet
The same visual logic was extended into a full alphabet. Individual letters such as the Mosaic Alphabet Letter A and Mosaic Alphabet Letter Z are available as stickers, with the complete A-to-Z set existing as one connected design family.
Because each letter has to remain readable while still carrying the Mosaic structure, the alphabet sits somewhere between typography, pattern and object design.
A printable colouring version
The A to Z Mosaic Alphabet Colouring Book takes all 26 letters and converts the system into printable black-and-white pages. That gives the person colouring the book control over the palette while preserving the underlying geometry.
The colouring book is delivered as a digital PDF for personal use and is designed for home printing on standard letter-size paper.
One system, several formats
The Mosaic series is a useful example of how PPLL develops visual work: start with a recognizable system, then see what survives when it moves into another format, scale or use. A wall poster needs to hold space at a distance. A sticker needs to read as a compact object. A colouring page has to leave room for somebody else to make colour decisions.
