PPLL Artist Portfolio

Paranoid People Live Longer (PPLL) is an Ottawa-based independent art and publishing project built around attention, pattern recognition, repetition, visual signal, and the habit of noticing what other people pass over.

The work moves between abstract systems, repeated grids, portrait studies, geometric mosaics, and visual field notes. Individual pieces are often developed as part of a larger family rather than as isolated images.

Artist statement

PPLL treats awareness as a visual language. The work is interested in what happens when the same signal is repeated, shifted, recoloured, interrupted, or viewed from another angle. Some pieces are dense and systematic. Others use faces or simple forms as receivers for mood, noise, contradiction, and attention.

The goal is not to make decorative background. The goal is to make images that reward a second look.

Process

Some PPLL visual work is AI-assisted. AI is used as a tool inside a directed human process. Concepts, prompts, iteration, selection, rejection, naming, sequencing, curation, product decisions, and final publication remain human controlled. The finished work is selected and developed as part of the PPLL visual system rather than published as raw model output.
